There are multiple shortcut keys available in windows, which you can use to take screenshot in windows 10 instantly. And I try to mention all of them in this article. The working of these keys differs from others.

Windows + Prt scn

When you click these two keys, windows + prt scn simultaneously, your system’s opened window will save in the screenshot folder in pictures.

Windows + shift + S

After clicking these three keys simultaneously, a window’s in-built software will get opened (snip & sketch). In it, you can take a screenshot of the page in several types, like a rectangular clip, free-form clip, and full form clip. And the clipped section will get saved to your clipboard, and you can edit and save it through snip & sketch software.

By pressing these two-buttons, the Xbox game bar opens. In the Xbox game bar, you can perform multiple tasks, including taking a screenshot. After opening it, you will see the capture section in it, and there a camera icon. By clicking that icon, the screenshot will get saved in the captures sub-folder of the video folder on your PC. Either you can follow this method, or you can press the below shortcut keys to do it.

Windows + alt + prt scn

So this is the shortcut keys that are used to capture the screenshot in windows 10. I have mentioned above the same method to do it, but you can do it by pressing these combinations of keys. The captured screenshot will get saved in the capture sub-folder in the video folder on the PC.

Take a screenshot in Windows 10 with snipping tool

If you face problems in remembering these shortcut keys, then there is an inbuilt application snipping tool in windows you can use to take a screenshot in your windows system. There are four modes available to capture a screenshot, free-form snip, rectangular snip, window snip, and full-screen snip.

  • Select the mode as per your need, which I have mentioned above.
  • After selecting the mode, the mouse pointer will change into the plus sign.
